Personally one of the reason I like him is because he kinda shows a way forward to Joker. He starts out pretty much exactly like him, framed with a crime he didn’t commit, and yet still persists onward in his goals, him named tarnished and stained. And he manages to pull through without the metaverse, and I think that ties nicely with the end theme that they don’t need to be phantom thieves to change society. Personally, I think it was showing Joker that there are good people trying to shape the world, and his life doesn’t have to be just a phantom thief

Hierophant has gotta be my favourite. Emperor is a close second (Kanji is among my favourite fictional characters now), but their Links/Confidants sometimes feel a little messy or one-note. Each Hierophant Link/Confidant tells an extremely personal story and ends with the person in question becoming a caretaker towards the Protagonist in some way. Dojima and Sojiro portray this more extensively, of course, but even Bunkichi and Mitsuko feel like they've become Makoto's surrogate doting grandparents when the Social Link begins, let alone concludes. I also always have a soft spot for the older, wiser characters in media. (Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda and Iroh from Avatar come to mind) My Arcana would probably be Hermit, Priestess or Moon though
